Samsung is really popular for their fold phones. They are staples to the Samsung phone run and will probably never be cancelled. They have made foldable phones more popular. Recent leaks show there could be a new one soon.
The Samsung Z Fold 8 should be releasing soon with a wider screen and a better camera. Very little is known about it. People have given it the name “Galaxy wide fold” but it would probably be the Galaxy Z fold 8.
It has been spotted in a test build by eagle eyed people. The people say how much wider it is and they feel like it is different.
Based on current leaks, here is what we know about it:

- Large outer screen (~6.5″, 120Hz)
- Very fast new Snapdragon processor
- 12GB–16GB RAM
- Up to 1TB storage
- 200MP main camera
- Ultra-wide and zoom cameras
- Around 5,000mAh battery
- Fast charging + wireless charging
- S Pen support
- Android 16 with Samsung One UI
- Expected mid-2026 release
As you can see, It should be similar to other Samsung folds other than the wide screen. The price should be about R39,000. Or, it might not happen at all.
