It is well known that Garmin makes smartwatches. They are one of the most popular and are big with people who run. Leaks have been coming in of a new Garmin smartwatch. Time to dive in!

If you want a smartwatch for running, Garmin has you covered. They are very good and have long battery for big runs. Leaks talk of the Fenix 9. It will be the big outdoor watch this year for Garmin.
The CEO of Garmin briefly teased it. He said that there could be stronger performance and that this year will be a good one for Garmin.
Here are some things it might have:
- Expected release in late 2026
- Crazy battery life
- New processor for smoother performance
- Upgraded heart rate and health sensors
- Potential LTE and satellite features
- Improved maps and outdoor tools
- Slight design tweaks while staying rugged and premium
The battery is apparently going to be “Forever battery” and it can apparently last forever. Seems like an odd idea and very hard to do but anything is possible.
The new processor makes it that everything is very fast and can move around fast. This is good because it can be smooth and you can do tasks really fast. This will be such a good smartwatch!
The GPS might use satellites to track where you are currently. There might also be a thing called MicroLED which is where there are tiny lights that flash different colours to display stuff.
It is probably going to be thinner and lighter, with titanium and carbon fiber to make it more comfortable.
What is the price you might ask? It seems it might be $700 - $1000. That is about R21 thousand. It seems big but just remember how crazy it will be and it might still be a popular option to buy for runners.
With a late 2026 release, we still have a while to wait but in that time, the prototypes will be better and better. It should be a big seller with very nice and cool colours.
Here is a recap of our article today:
